Tile, Hans de Jong De Pottenkijker

Facade tile "Pottenkijker." Hand-formed with stamped and incised decoration featuring an oval face with a greenish glaze in the center. Produced in own studio 1964, stamped HJ. Illustrated in the Catalogue "Pottenkijker Ceramic Highlights 1959-1969" Museum Boymans van Beuningen (page 31). The tile was installed in the facade at de Wittekade 99 in Amsterdam, as a gift from Hans de Jong to J.W.N. van Agterbergh upon the installation of the Modern Ceramic Collection in this building.
